DWA consists of a number of committees dedicated to enacting the mission.

• Steering committee - akin to a Board of Directors, these members carry out the primary leadership functions such as planning events, organizing actions, hosting meetings, handling media relations, and more!

• Development committee - these members carry out the primary administrative functions such as managing finances, maintaining our digital infrastructure, and overseeing future organizational development!

• Membership committee - these members recruit and train new volunteers, and manage the membership list

• Events committee - these members plan, execute, and promote our events

• Political Action committee - Supporting the bulk of our membership, these members conduct postcard campaigns and plan civic and educational programs as well as organized vigils and protests.

• Legislative Action committee - these members track proposed legislation and communicate support for bills of interest by providing testimony at public hearings, writing letters to the editor, and contacting legislators to support passage of a bill.
